Another film from recent years playing into the idea of the Jewish Dibbuk legend, a malevolent spirit that is likely a dead person trying t find a way back into the world of the living. The victim here is a young girl who buys a strange box with no visible means of being opened from a garage sale, only to find that there's something in side that she wants to help release.Being a bit of an easy mark for Jeffrey Dean Morgan, I went into this one expecting to like it, and I dug it quite a bit overall.Give it a rental, it's a solid watch.

The Possession is a horror flick about a little girl that buys a box from a yard sale and then this box once open it dispels all forms of fresh hell.The box reminds me of Jumanji at least Jumanji we get to go on an adventure.The child actors play very strong roles and a lot of screaming happens and it goes a tad over the top.I cannot believe that Grant Show from Melrose Place acts in this movie.My wife likes horror flicks I am not a fan and this movie i did not feel that it was scary and I did not jump until the very end.If you like horrors then this is not that bad but its kinda boring at some points.

First of all I don't like that horror movies are coming out with the rating og PG-13, why??? is the big question, thats why they fail big time. This film was okay even tho I rhink that its no r based on true events, yes it does has some gory scenes and they were good, but then there were these scenes that I did not like. The story is okay , the acting was solid, but it's not that scary as other people are saying. So for this being an okay horror movie, but in my opinion they need to step their game up more, I give " The Possession " a C.
